The key is to write good Dispute Letters to the Bureaus to have the items investigated, and eventually removed from your Report. You should hopefully be keeping notes and dates of all your efforts completed. Make a note of anyone you speak to, when you send letter, and when you receive letters. Most things can be removed if done correctly. Some items are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to remove: bankruptcies, tax liens, judgments and child support. But can be done, if the right steps are done. Often times, a Bureau will ask for a copy of your Social Security Card to verify Identity. This is fine to send so they can knock out the false stuff on your report.
